‍Hospitality Sales Professional of the Year

‍This award recognizes and promotes excellence in the field of Sales in the Hospitality industry.  A person who is recognized as an exceptional professional by their co-workers, peers and throughout the industry.

‍Hospitality Marketing Professional of the Year

‍‍This award recognizes and promotes excellence in the field of Marketing, including digital, social media and traditional marketing, in the Hospitality industry.  A person who is recognized as an exceptional professional by their co-workers, peers and throughout the industry.

‍Hospitality Revenue Management Professional of the Year

‍This award recognizes and promotes excellence in the field of Revenue Management in the Hospitality industry.  A person who is recognized as an exceptional professional by their co-workers, peers and throughout the industry.

General Manager of the Year‍

This award recognizes and promotes excellence of a General Manager in the Hospitality industry.  A person who is recognized as an exceptional professional by their co-workers, peers and throughout the industry and who understands the importance of supporting his/her staff involvement in the industry, has contributed to the community and is a leader in the industry.

James V. Cunningham Award for Hospitality (Hospitality Star of the Year)‍

This award is for nominees that have held their current position or been with their current employer for a minimum of one year. This category is open to a wide range of hospitality professionals, including managers and non-management associates, principals of hotel management or ownership companies, as well as professionals from PR, marketing, supplier organizations, consulting firms, and other vendor partners serving the industry.

NEW: 🌊 HSMAI San Diego Next Wave Scholarship 🌊

‍The HSMAI San Diego Next Wave Scholarship provides $1,000 to support the next generation of hospitality professionals. Established in 2026 through the generosity of founding donor Tre Wilke IV, the scholarship will be awarded directly to one eligible student. Review the scholarship requirements and submit an application for consideration.
